Our Learning Outcomes
We aim to cultivate critical thinkers who are actively engaged with the world. Through the study of History, Geography and Social Studies, students examine past events, contemporary issues and global challenges. They learn to think critically, appreciate different perspectives, and understand how human societies shape and are shaped by their environment.
Our Approach
We believe that students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. Lessons are designed to encourage discussion, inquiry and collaboration, giving students opportunities to ask questions, share ideas and evaluate different viewpoints. The Humanities Department focuses on a student-centered, discussion-based approach that promotes open dialogue and inquiry. Through collaborative discussions, students explore diverse perspectives and critically analyze real-world issues and historical events. Students engage in performance tasks like Historical and Geographical Investigations to apply inquiry and research skills to key themes. Beyond the classroom, students participate in competitions, seminars and experiential learning to deepen their understanding of the Humanities.

Our Achievements
Achieved 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in the Humanities in Action Competition organised by Serangoon Gardens Secondary School.
14 students participated in the 18th International United Nations Conference, with 2 students receiving Special Mention.
4 students participated in the MOE History Challenge, with 1 student shortlisted for the History Talent Development Programme
